Rodney Holcombe is a staff attorney at the Drug Policy Alliance (DPA). In his role at DPA, he drafts legislation and amicus briefs, and he engages in policy advocacy and public education in support of drug law reform. In addition, he hosted numerous legal clinics across California to provide post-conviction relief services to people with prior convictions. His central areas of focus are equity in the cannabis industry, expungement and post-conviction relief, and reparative justice.

Mr. Holcombe is an avid supporter of compassionate and evidence-based solutions that curb drug use disorder, prioritize public health, and promote responsible use, as well as efforts to call attention to and end the Drug War’s devastating impact on communities of color. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Howard University.
